Systems by a Creative

The inventory process was inconsistent, hard to track, and relied too much on manual input.
I built a system from scratch to make everything faster, clearer, and easier to manage.

The Problem

Inventory tracking was scattered and inefficient.
There was no simple way to scan, update, or track items in real time, and cycle counts took longer than they should.

The Solution

I designed a full Excel-based inventory system with:

  • Unique SKUs for every item

  • QR codes for scanning

  • A workflow to add, deplete, and track inventory

  • Connected sheets that update automatically

  • A layout that’s easy to use without training

How it works

The system made inventory easier to manage, faster to update, and more reliable overall.
It reduced confusion, improved organization, and made day-to-day operations smoother.

Each item is assigned a unique SKU and QR code.
Scanning allows users to quickly add or remove inventory without digging through spreadsheets.

All actions feed into a central system that updates counts and keeps everything aligned across the board.

Cycle counts are built into the system, making it easier to verify inventory without starting from scratch.
